Put on a record

Updated: Having so many videos on my home page seems to slow down the page load time a bit, so I'm going to just post videos over on the My Videos page. And I uploaded a new one of Silvi singing her ABC's. Enjoy.

Remember when you used to spread all your records out on your bedroom floor and just listen to song after song? Ian and I put together a little "mix-tape" of some our favorite hits from the 80's, with a few current singles sprinkled in there. It's about 10 minutes long, so when you get a break from your day and you just want to hang out with a couple of guys and listen to music, check out our video.

(A disclaimer: I am the world's worst DJ. Secondly, my Final Cut Pro program is on the fritz at home, so I fumbled around with iMovie; this is not a polished video.)

Tunes

(Another Update: I moved my music to a new page called My Tunes, which you can get to from my Personal Links on the right. It was feeling a bit crowded on my Home page.)

(Updated: It's a snowy day, so I added my mood music for the day in addition to my other tunes. And yes, these songs really date me.)

I added some songs that I'm into these days over on the right. Enjoy, or at least pretend to.

Coldplay

These are the tickets of Silvi's first "official" concert. The concert was much better than I expected; lead singer Chris Martin sang in front of a huge video display, and the light show was flawless. They played all of Annie and my favorites, and Silvi was completely awed by the lights and 20,000 Minnesotans losing their usual Scandanavian reservedness. Silvi was the only baby we saw there, and stole the show. So many people stopped to play with her or yelled as they walked by, "First concert? All right!" We had some small earplugs for her, and they were very needed as it was deafening. She eventually just rested her head on my shoulder and let the sleep take over. Too bad she won't remember any of it. We took pictures, which I'll post later.
