International Film Festival
This week the 24th Annual Minneapolis - St. Paul International Film Festival begins. I'm going to try to catch The Friend, a German film, on Saturday night.

This week the Newport Beach Film Festival begins. Not sure which film I want to catch. They all look so good.
First there's the Oakley Event, showcasing Seperate Volume, which explores the mind of the surfer as he chases the perfect wave. Or Roxy Event's, Sofia, which documents the life of Sofia Mulanovich, an impoverished surfer from Peru, who chases her dream of becoming a World Champion surfer (http://www.sofiadoco.com/) against almost insurmountable odds.
Then there's the Japanese Spotlight, the Irish Spotlight, the French, Korean, and Spanish Spotlights. And a few others.
The only problem I'm having is there are over 350 films and they all cost money.
Any thoughts?
"Investment bankers don't surf."
"This one does."
"It'll change your life, man."
Actually, Sofia does look kind of interesting. Or maybe Dead Long Enough from Ireland?
