Sufferin’ succotash

Talking about how busy you are at work is about as interesting as talking about the weather, but, man, I'm wiped! It's been six super stressful, seditious, sorrowful and scandalous sets of seven days. I'm going to do nothing this weekend but engage in severe amounts of sedentary, succulent sleep. Sheesh!

man, do i ever know what you mean. too much work!

and random related trivia: one time my mom was sleeping when she sat straight up and said "sufferin' succotash!" (complete with the sylvester speech impediment) and then dropped back to a prone position, having never actually awakened. (this story is so much better if you know my mom...a quiet, proper woman.)

I suspected as much, but feared that you had fallen into a frozen lake or something. Sleeep. Sleeep. Sleep.

You know what they say "If it don't kill you it will make you stronger" - unless of course you are sitting in front of a wall of electronic video equipment and the radiation is giving you cancer.

Rest well my friend and stay away from the microwave...

Hoping for you a wonderful weekend of some much needed therapeutic depression. And hoping for you that you are too busy resting and recovering to read this comment :)

One word: coffee.

Actually, make that two words: coffee & chocolate.

No, no, hang on, make that three: coffee, chocolate & cake

Oh, wait, no, er, 4 words: coffee, chocolate, cake and cuddles.

Oh and what about...

Hi Tom,
I'm a long-time reader coming out of lurkdom. I've really enjoyed your blog and check in regularly. As a mom of a 9 month old baby girl with DS, I have really appreciated your posts and all the research you've done. Anywhozzle, get some rest. I just wanted to introduce myself.

terri: Hilarious story! I guess we all know what you were watching Saturday mornings.

elbog: Some days life as an icecube sounds pretty darn nice.

john g: And Betacam SP cameras from the 1980's.

eclexia: A nice bout of depression always seems to cheer me up. :)

waldenhouse: I think that Silvi launching onto my back yelling, "Wake up daddy" is bad for my sleep.

Kim: If I'm ever in Scotland, I'll pop over for that cuddle. :)

jrs: Thanks for dropping in; it's always nice to meet new bloggers. I'll pop over and say hi.

beans: Ha :)

Ah yes, I always say the quickest way to happy is right smack through the sad.
