Hey ladies!!

Ian failed his second hearing test today. We have to wait three more months to test again to allow his ear canals to widen. We know that he hears us, and especially hears Silvi, but we're not sure how well yet.

Also, he "failed" his vision test. He thought the "2" was a "Z." Ha. But he does appear to have myopia - or near-sightedness - and will most likely need glasses.

We're praying that he will have buck teeth as well; our plan to bring another Jerry Lewis into the world is nearly complete.

poor guy. sometimes you just have to be able to laugh...even if it's that sarcastic, not-funny kind of humor.

hang in there...

Joey failed his first 2 hearing tests. At 6 months they were able to sedate him, cleaned out his ears, they were so full of fluid he couldn't hear, then he passed them. Hang in there but I do have to admit, I love your sense of humor, lol!

Ha, that was FUNNY!

Tell Ian we got a certain "love interest" for him...when they are older, of course.

What was in that frosty?

Well, if you know he can hear, then the test wasn't effective at measuring it, now was it? Been there, done that.
Old Jerry's been hooked up with some real dolls - go get 'em, Ian!

That was definitely funny. We make similar jokes around here, too. About all our kids, about ourselves. If we can't laugh at own foibles, what can we laugh at?

Son of a ..... I wrote out a bunch of "witty" replies and then lost it all. Hate computers.

Thanks for not stringing me up...

Love it! Sol here, from way over there in Norway. Friends of Jeff's, through Downsyn forum. My Bene is almost 8. Keep that sense of humour, that's what'll carry you through the sh**** days.

Thanks for dropping by, syncopa. I tried to read your blog but I think someone hacked it. It's got all these squiggly characters on it. :)

Nico failed every non-sedated hearing test he had until he was finally big enough to take the behavorial test (where they make sounds to the left and right, and then flash a light to reveal a toy when he looks, then brings him back to the center). We did go to Children's for the sedated test which told us that his nerves worked fine, which was a relief - so I recommend doing that.

Also, tubes took about 15 minutes from the time they took him away to be sedated until they brought him back to us. We were home by 8:30 AM.

I highly recommend tubes to get that gunk out. It made a big difference for Nico.

Good to know about the tubes... we'll see what the doc recommends next trip in. 'ppreciate it.
