The Washington Post has created a great project called onBeing, a series of video interviews with people from varying backgrounds intended to help foster understanding. I uploaded the clip on Down syndrome onto Youtube. It's well worth the watch.

Watched several of the videos. They were all good. I had to go back and watch the video of my granddaughter's first six months of life. I am quite misty eyed.
This is really very cool... Braska and I just watched it, and she seemed so engaged. I love the interaction between son and mom, and as silly as it seems, when we first were told that Braska had DS, I didn't think that kind of thing was possible. Seems ridiculous now, and I can't wait til she can tell me knock knock jokes.
