On Monday we are getting a third opinion about the pressure in Ian's lungs. We have been on a waiting list for the last month to see Dr. R----r A------n, son of the doctor who founded Children's Hospital here in Minneapolis, and named as the top pediatrician in the state. (He is not taking on any new patients but we know someone who knows someone, etc.)
We were concerned that the other doctors just "threw" tests and medication Ian's way, so hope the visit on Monday will shed more light. Just thought you'd like to know.

Wishing you all the best
It's not what you know, it's who you know. I'm glad to hear you're getting Ian into such a good doctor!
Hmmm, that last comment was from me!
I wish you the best at your appointment. I should say, too, that this sounds very familiar to me. Archie had home oxygen for many months to combat the high pressures in his lungs. Although better now, his lung pressures still measure above average. Just wanted to say that I understand your confusion and worry.
Kim: Thanks
Jessica: We'll take it any way we can get it. :)
Anne: One doctor said something about prolonged high pressure causing scarring on the lungs, which made us call around. Glad to know there are others who have traveled this road ahead of us. Hope things are good with Archie now.
