Winter walk

Today is one of those rare exquisite winter days when you just have to get outside. We went for a walk this morning on a nearby lake called Lake of the Isles.

Love those pics of bundled children :)

Snow like that makes everything looks so calm and insulated.

In the local nomenclature I subscribe to the phrase, "Walk on a lake," stirs up images of Christ walking on the Sea of Galilee.

Wanna get away?

It is so beautiful today. I've had to be inside for meetings most of it, but I'm peeking out now and taking a deep breath and giving my face to the sun. Thanks for sharing your family this way. The smiles are such a respite in this frozen wilderness, aren't they?

the weather warmed up enough here this weekend to get outside to.
And it is fun, to see them so bundled up, the faces looking extra chubby with the hats pulled snug.
it looks like fun. :)
